NEW PRODUCTS FOR NEW MILLENNIUM FROM TORO

Toro is starting the new millennium where it left off in the old - with the launch at the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) of a string of superb new innovative turf products sure to attract great interest from greenkeepers and groundsmen.

The ground-breaking Toro Reelmaster Sidewinder - the first mower with cutting units that shift left and right to increase their overhang - was a huge hit in its first season on the golf course in '99. Now, hot on the heels of the triple cylinder machine, comes a rotary version in which the three cutting decks can similarly be shifted from side to side.

This sideways movement of up to 24 inches on the new Groundsmaster machine adds a new dimension to the rotary mowing of bunker overhangs, fringes, approaches and other edges, which otherwise might need finishing off with a push mower or strimmer. The mower also has a great ability to follow ground contours and cut without scalping.

Also making its debut at the January 2000 show in Harrogate is Toro's stylish new Workman 2100 mid-duty utility vehicle with a unique "twister" suspension that gives outstanding traction and stability. This is combined with a superb performance and big pay-load capacity to make the versatile new vehicle ideal for use in a host of different working environments such as golf courses, sports grounds, universities and schools to theme parks, caravan and campsites.

The new Greensmaster 3250-D joins the exhibition launch line-up. This is the latest in the line of Toro's world beating ride-on Greensmaster triple mowers. Among many improvements over its 3200-D predecessor are a more powerful diesel engine and a new radiator designed for better cooling and to prevent it being clogged by cuttings. Toro say the machine sets a high new standard for premium greensmower performance and quality of cut.

All the new products are joined on the Toro Commercial Products' stand (No B35) by a wide selection of other Toro turf maintenance equipment including fairway mowers and aerators.
