Cutter & Buck Fakes Flushed Out

Cutter & Buck have enlisted the help of British and Italian authorities to crack down on counterfeiting of their products in the European market.

The clothing firm have reached a settlement with Preston-based Brand Search International who have acknowledged unintentionally infringing their UK trademarks, recalled the offending items and paid an undisclosed amount to resolve the dispute.

Nevada Bob (UK) have also apologised to Cutter & Buck after being duped by the fake gear, which was presented with a 'Cutter Buck', and putting it on sale in six of their outlets.

Nevada Bob stock manager David White said that when the shirts arrived it was noted that they were labelled Cutter Buck, but the company "were led to believe that they may have been promotional shirts rather than counterfeits".

In northern Italy, police raided a warehouse operated by distributor Sumo srl and reportedly found large quantities of counterfeit merchandise, from other designers as well as Cutter & Buck.
