ClubCorp go Shopping Down Under

ClubCorp, owners of such prime golf resorts as The Homestead and Pinehurst, has acquired the Jack Nicklaus-designed Lakelands club in Queensland, Australia. The Lakelands, which opened nearly three years ago, is ClubCorp's first fully operational property in Australia.

ClubCorp and Golden Bear International have jointly acquired Laurel Springs Golf Club in Suwanee, Georgia. The joint venture between the two companies was formed in July 1998 to build, own and operate Jack Nicklaus signature courses worldwide. The first joint project is the Nicklaus Golf Club at BirchRiver, currently under construction in Dahlonega, Georgia.
