Burnet appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel One
of the best known faces in the UK hotel industry has been appointed Director of
Sales and Marketing at The Carnoustie Golf Course Hotel, venue for this year's
Open. 41
year old Andrew Burnet has joined the new £15 million hotel and resort,
whic is adajecent to the 1st tee and 18th green of the world famous Angus links. Andrew,
previously Sales and Marketing Director at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews
and Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh, has also held senior positions with
Mariott Hotels and Hilton International throughout the UK. Speaking
about his new position Andrew said, "I am absolutely delighted to be joining
what will undoubtedly become one of the best known hotels in the world. We will
be in the media spotlight this summer with The Open returning to Carnousite for
the first time in 24 years. People from every corner of the golf will be visiting
us and I'm sure they will be impressed by our unique location and excellent facilities. "This
is an exciting opportunity for everyone connected with the hotel and I'm convinced
we wil become one of the most popular destinations for not just golfers but also
the corporate and incentive markets." Chief
