Gotfredson Named Vice President of Sales and Marketing For Callaway Golf

Golf Company today announced the appointment of Peter Gotfredson to the post of
Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of Callaway Golf Ball Company, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Callaway Golf. Gotfredson, who joined Callaway Golf Ball Company
in June of 1999, will be responsible for all inside and outside sales and marketing
operations for Callaway Golf Ball Company. "We
are fortunate to have Peter Gotfredson with his unique set of selling skills and
experiences," said Chuck Yash, President of Callaway Golf Company and President
and CEO of Callaway Golf Ball Company. "Peter is a perfect fit for the job and
is looking forward to contributing in this exciting position at Callaway Golf
Ball Company." Gotfredson,
40, has a strong background in retail marketing and sales. He has previously served
as Vice President of Retail Marketing for General Nutrition Inc., where he developed
and managed all marketing and advertising efforts for GNC health and fitness stores.
A 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received his B.A. in Marketing
and English, Gotfredson began his career in 1981 as a media planner at a leading
San Francisco advertising agency. A year later he moved to Los Angeles, where
he was an account executive with Marsteller Advertising and later with Ogilvy
& Mather Advertising Agency. In his nearly two decades in the field, in large
companies or entrepreneurial start ups Gotfredson has worked extensively in creating
programs designed to boost sales, increase product awareness and enhance customer
satisfaction. |
