In July of 1999, the PCAWorldwide.Com introduced the first Professional Caddie Certification Program. Gregory E. Burns from Anthony, KS has successfully completed the first part of the course, a self-study program that includes research, reading, a test and short paper. A 46 year old welder and pipe fitter who was looking for a change of career.

Greg contacted the PCA Worldwide.com through the Internet in June of this year, signed-up to join the association and took the first stage of the Caddie Certification Course. Greg passed the first stage and is well into the second half of the course.

But that is not the end of this story, Greg's initiative, perseverance and determination has paid off and already brought him from the County Club to the TOUR. Greg, the first male to take and pass the course caddied last week for Ian Steel at the NIKE event in Albuquerque.

The PCAWorldwide.com wants to help increase the profession of caddying and bring back the caddie to clubs worldwide. The PCA Worldwide.com currently has 13 people who are in different stages of the program. This is a grass roots project with over 7 years of planning and work with input from players, caddies, instructors and PGA of America professionals.
