Apollo Owners Seek Financial Protection

Coyote Sports, the owners of shaft makers Apollo Golf, have filed for Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.

Apollo are expected to continue normal day-to-day operations while the company puts together an approved reorganisation plan.

An aggressive strategy of growth by acquisition during a period of slack trading is a possible explanation for their current plight.

At the time of going to press, there had been no comment from Apollo's senior management at their headquarters at Warley in the West Midlands.
