AMERICAN GOLF ACQUIRES OAK PARK AT CRONDALL
NEAR FARNHAM IN HAMPSHIRE

American Golf (UK) LTD has acquired Oak Park Golf Club in Surrey on a 25 year operating agreement and lease bringing to 19 the number of properties operated by American Golf in the UK.

Oak Park, founded in 1984 as a Par 3 facility, was expanded in 1985 and 1993 to its current status as a 27 hole complex. Situated in the village of Crondall, 3 miles west of Farnham, the main 18-hole, Par 70 Woodland Course measures 6318 yards while the 9 hole Par 36 Village Course is 3279 yards. The other golf facilities include a 16 bay driving range with specialist teaching bays, practice bunkers and chipping and putting greens.

The location fits in well with existing American Golf operated clubs in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. American Golf will apply its tried and tested best practices to improve what is already a fine course much liked by members and visitors alike. There will be a drive in the surrounding areas to reinforce the golf and health memberships as well as group corporate golf business.

Oak Park becomes the fifth acquisition by American Golf UK this year. The company has also just opened a new Peter Alliss designed course called Traditions Golf course situated in Pyrford. Traditions was conceived and developed by American Golf as a high quality public access facility.
