TaylorMade Burner to Ignite the Market

TaylorMade’s famous Burner brand is once again available to golfers. It is returning in the form of the Burner 860 - a technologically advanced titanium driver, offering all the performance of titanium, but at the price of steel. Boasting
technology used in the breakthrough R500 Series Driver, the Burner 860
offers an easy-to-hit 405cc head which delivers optimum trajectory and
distance.
The Burner 860’s forgiving 405cc head produces longer, straighter shots
on off-centre hits due to the greater moment of inertia; 25% higher than
that of the 200 Steel Driver. The deep clubface of the Burner’s head
helps produce a more consistent launch angle and spin rate due to this
MOI. The appearance of this expansive face – all forty square
centimetres of it, also breeds confidence in players.

Boasting the latest titanium casting technology and a lightweight
graphite shaft, the Burner 860 promotes a faster swing speed for added
distance. The pull face construction and divergent face depth also
allowed TaylorMade to engineer the fastest club face. With a high COR,
approaching that of the R500 Series, the Burner offers golfers power
with control.

The divergent face depth permitted TaylorMade to reduce the overall
weight of the face and distribute the saved weight strategically for a
deeper centre of gravity, making it easier for golfers of all standards
to get the ball airborne.

“The Burner 860 Ti Driver is the ideal club for the intermediate golfer,
coupling unforgiving distance with faultless accuracy. Incorporating
R500 Series technology in the Burner’s design provides a top of the
range driver at a more viable price – a necessity in the bag for all
mid-handicap golfers!” Sean Toulon, Vice President, global product and
brand creation.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the Burner 860 Ti Driver
is £299/€449 and should be available in retail stores by mid-November.
