Collection is launching an attractive new consumer promotion aimed at promoting
the brands outstanding Autumn/Winter 2002 rainsuit range. The
promotion is to be run from September 2nd 2002 to January 6th 2003 and is to be
supported by a media campaign in major UK golf magazines. Under
rules of the promotion, all customers who try on a PING Collection rainwear product
between these dates will be eligible to enter a free prize draw offering a fabulous
prize worth well in excess of £3,000. The prize consists of the latest technology
from PING, including the limited edition Tour suit, a full set of PING woods and
irons, a PING putter and a PING bag, plus a free trip for two to La Manga, including
flights and five nights accommodation at the five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel. PING
Collection's 2002 rainsuit range contains a number of high performance products
headed by its much talked-about limited edition Tour rainsuit. The
new Tour rainsuit, which has a trade price of £175.00, and is to be worn
by leading PING staff players worldwide, is to be the focal point of a range that
also includes the Barra, Aspley, and Ashton jackets and the Brodick, Ashford and
Antrim pants. The
new Tour rainsuit is a state of the art suit that is designed to highlight the
PING Collection's desire to produce a range of clothing than not only looks good
but performs well too. It features an exclusive Sympatex waterproof membrane (the
lightest, most flexible, breathable waterproof membrane in the world) and will
be produced in PING Collection's signature colours of Black with Silver tipping
and Logos. "The
Tour rainsuit is an aspirational garment that consumers will set their sights

The Tour rainsuit
is the flagship product in a range of rainwear that has been designed with both
performance and style foremost in the minds of the PING designers. The
Autumn/Winter 2002 PING Collection also includes the Barra and co-ordinating Brodick
trouser and the Aspley jacket and Ashford trouser. Both suits are both made from
a 100% waterproof lightweight branded Sympatex 2 Ply laminate fabric. The Barra
jacket which has a trade price of £70 comes in Black and features a full
zip fastening. In contrast, the Aspley, which has a trade price of £60.00,
has a half zip fastening and packs away into a hidden pocket with a trolley attachment
clip. The Aspley jacket is also available is two colour options (Putty/Coyote
or Black/Silver). The
co-ordinating trousers are made from the same branded Sympatex 2 ply laminate
fabric and are available in sizes S to XXL and with a choice of three leg lengths
(29", 31" and 33"). Trade prices are £55 for the Brodick
(available in Black) and £50 for the Ashford (available in Black or Coyote). Complementing
the Sympatex package are the Ashton jacket and co-ordinating Antrim trousers which
are also key products in PING Collection's rainwear range. The Ashton jacket is
100% waterproof and features a light and breathable Teflon coated peached microfibre
outer and a Concordia drop lining. It is available in sizes S to XXL and in four
colours options (Grey, Black, Navy and Brick). The Antrim trouser is also 100%
waterproof and is available in either Navy or Black. It comes in sizes S to XXL
and with a choice of three leg lengths (29", 31" and 33"). Trade
price for the Ashton jacket is £42.50 while the Antrim trouser has a trade
