Ping Introduces New Specific Trolley and Cart Bag

Whoever coined the phrase "space is the new frontier" could just as easily have been referring to the newest cart bag offering from golf equipment innovator PING.

Designed and engineered specifically to meet the needs of golfers who use trolleys and ride carts, the PINGÒ FrontierÔBag maximises storage space in a golf bag while maintaining its cart-specific design.

"The Frontier Bag meets, and in some cases exceeds, four criteria that our team of engineers sought in creating a unique cart-specific golf bag," said John A. Solheim, PING Chairman and CEO.

These four criteria are performance, ingenuity, usability and style.

Effective use of space - both internally and externally - was a key design element in the creation of the Frontier Bag.

"From the outset, we wanted to create a cart bag that featured accessible cargo space - a bag that was very functional and new to the traditional premium golf bag market," said Solheim.

"All of the pockets have been designed to be reached from the back of the cart when the Frontier Bag is strapped onto a cart. It's a totally unique look and incredibly golfer-friendly," he said.

The Frontier Bag features seven primary pockets, one of which is a velour lined valuables pouch. It has three hidden pockets. There's even a small fabric-mesh pocket to air dry gloves. The largest pocket has mesh sides for storage and easy access to apparel and other large items, including shoes.

The pockets are strategically distributed to maximise available space, accessibility and weight balance.

The patented rib design of the bag top provides club separation and tapers from back to front to make removing and replacing clubs easier. The top features a six-way, 9-inch x 9.5-inch opening with soft cover and full-length dividers to separate and protect clubs. The bag top is riveted to the centre tube for maximum stability and strength.

An innovative divider in the Frontier Bag is a short sleeve utility well for shorter clubs, such as a putter or wedge.

Two front handles, one rear handle and a trunk handle are ergonomically placed for ease of handling.

Available in six colours, the Frontier Bag weighs only 8.1 pounds, extremely light for this category of golf bag. Its slim, streamlined profile makes the Frontier Bag an easy fit onto golf carts.

All trim accessories on the Frontier Bag are attractive, black nickel hardware. The rain hood is designed to handle clubs up to 50 inches in length. RRP is £140.

LADY FRONTIER BAG

PING has designed a Lady FrontierÔ Bag with special features appealing to women golfers.

Taking into consideration that most women's golf clubs are shorter than men's clubs, the overall length of the Lady Frontier Bag is one inch shorter, and features a six-way, 8-inch x 8.5-inch top with soft cover.

The Lady Frontier Bag contains all of the features of the Frontier Bag, except it weighs only 7.8 pounds and is available in three colours (black, black/red and black, navy/khaki and black) with a RRP of £140.
