Callaway Golf (NYSE:ELY) Staff Professional Annika Sorenstam put on a spectacular show at the Kellogg-Keebler Classic, winning the event by a whopping 11 strokes yesterday.

The victory was Sorenstam's fourth LPGA Tour title of the season and fifth victory in 2002 since switching to the Big Bertha C4(TM) Driver and HX(TM) Red golf ball at the beginning of the year. Sorenstam's winning score of 21-under par tied the LPGA Tour scoring record for a 54-hole tournament set last year by Wendy Ward -- who was also using a Callaway Golf(R) ball when she set the record.
Sorenstam also holds or shares the 18-, 36- and 72-hole scoring
records on the LPGA Tour.

"This is probably the best I've played," said Sorenstam, who this
week will be trying to win her second consecutive major championship
at this week's McDonald's LPGA Championship. "I hit a lot of drivers
this week because I knew I would have to do it a lot next week. I
could do that because I have a lot of confidence off the tee and a lot
of confidence in all aspects of my game right now.

"
Sorenstam has added 9.3 yards to her driving distance average
since switching to the Big Bertha C4 Driver and HX Red golf ball,
improving from 252.3 yards last year to 261.6 yards this year. At the
Kellogg-Keebler Classic, Sorenstam posted a driving distance average
of 274 yards. She leads the LPGA Tour in money won, stroke average
(68.81), Rolex Player of the Year points, greens hit in regulation and
rounds under par, and she is in the top five in driving accuracy,
birdies and eagles this year. Sorenstam has now won 35 LPGA Tour
events and has qualified for the LPGA Hall of Fame.
Sorenstam took control at the Kellogg-Keebler Classic by birdieing
eight of her first 10 holes and shooting an opening 63, the lowest
score on the LPGA Tour this season. A bogey-free final round of 65 put
her 11 shots clear of the field. Sorenstam used 13 Callaway Golf clubs
at the Kellogg-Keebler Classic, including Steelhead(TM) X-14(R) Irons,
two Callaway Golf prototype wedges and an Odyssey(R) White Hot(R)
"2-Ball" Putter. Sorenstam has now won seven events since switching to
the Odyssey White Hot "2-Ball" Putter near the end of 2001.
Callaway Golf equipment was also used to win the NFL Golf Classic
on the Senior PGA Tour. The event was won by a Monday qualifier using
the CTU 30(TM) Red golf ball and 14 Callaway Golf clubs, including a
Big Bertha(R) Hawk Eye(R) VFT(R) Titanium Driver, Big Bertha Steelhead
III 5-wood, Steelhead X-14 Pro Series Irons, two Callaway Golf
prototype wedges and an Odyssey TriHot(TM) 2 Putter. The top four
finishers at the event all used Odyssey Putters and Callaway Golf
balls.
The winner of the Buy.com Northeast Pennsylvania Classic relied on
a similar combination, using an Odyssey White Hot 1 Putter and the CTU
30 Red golf ball in his victory yesterday. Meanwhile, the winner of
the Diamond Cup Tournament on the Japan Golf Tour used an Odyssey
White Hot 5 Putter, giving Odyssey Golf a total of four putter wins
across the world's six major professional tours yesterday. Odyssey
Golf leads all putter brands with a total of 33 victories across the
PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, Buy.com, PGA European and Japan Golf tours this
year. The nearest competitor has 20 putter victories. Odyssey Golf is
also No. 1 in tour usage, accounting for 33.3 percent of all putters
in play this year across the PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, Buy.com, PGA
European and Japan Golf tours combined.
Callaway Golf balls and clubs also have achieved strong usage and
victory numbers on the world's international tours. The Big Bertha
ERC(R) II Forged Titanium Driver was the No. 1 driver in play on the
Japan Golf Tour and No. 2 on the PGA European Tour. In addition,
Callaway Golf has won the golf ball usage count on the Japan Golf Tour
for the second time this year. There were 43 Callaway Golf balls in
play at the Diamond Cup Tournament, compared with 38 for the nearest
competitor. In all, Callaway Golf balls are a strong second in both
victories and usage across the world's six major professional tours
this year. Callaway Golf balls have been used to win 23 events across
those tours combined, while accounting for 21.3 percent of all balls
in play. Callaway Golf has earned at least one ball win in each of the
last seven weeks. A total of 203 tour professionals teed it up with
Callaway Golf balls during the week ending June 2, 2002 -- the highest
total in Company history. Aside from Titleist, no other ball
manufacturer had more than 71 balls in play during the week.
Callaway Golf is also making an international impact on the
Canadian Tour, where Callaway Golf Staff Professional Jeff Quinney has
taken over the top spot on the tour's money list. Quinney won his
second Canadian Tour event of the year yesterday, claiming the Bay
Mills Open by one stroke. Quinney, the 2000 U.S. Amateur champion and
the first two-time winner on the Canadian Tour this season, is among
the tour's leaders in stroke average at 69.58 this year. The top two
finishers on the tour's money list at season's end are exempted into
the second stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament.
