Launches Revolutionary New Graphite Shaft The
new "Aldila One" shaft is described as "the first major leap forward
in golf shaft performance since the development of graphite itself."
Aldila, the leading designer and manufacturer of high performance graphite golf
shafts, unveiled a revolutionary new shaft at the 2002 PGA Merchandise Show in
Orlando, Florida. The
new "Aldila One", featuring Aldila's patent-pending Segmented Flex Technology,
offers the golfer an unprecedented degree of personalised launch control. Featuring
multiple segments, each controlled separately, the new shaft allows for extremely
precise performance optimisation. Mike
Rossi, Aldila Vice President of Sales and Marketing says the new product concept
will "offer the player three different tip flex options, providing unprecedented
opportunity to optimise launch angle while maximising distance and control."
He added that the "Aldila One" would be the focus of all of Aldila's
marketing activities and PGA Show efforts for 2002. Developed
by Aldila Engineering VP John Oldenburg and his staff, "Segmented Flex Technology
refers to the unique flex characteristics of each discrete shaft segment. Oldenburg
called the innovation, "the first major leap forward in golf shaft performance
since the development of graphite itself." The
"Aldila One" is currently available in R, S and X flexes in 46-inch
driver length and is offered with three distinct tip sections, giving the player
a choice of Low, Mid or High launch. "Aldila One" fairway wood shafts
will follow in early summer 2002. Aldila,
the number one graphite shaft manufacturer among consumers and on professional
Tours worldwide, supplies leading manufacturers, distributors and custom-club
makers with high quality graphite shafts for golfers of all abilities. Aldila
is publicly traded on the NASDAQ with the symbol ALDA.
