PENFOLD RIGHT ON THE BALL

EFFICIENCY and customer service are keywords in maintaining and building a client base and Penfold and Pareto are raising both to new levels by refining their Birmingham based factory.

New state-of-the-art technology and automation of key processes are set to cut down delivery times on products across the range while also increasing quality and diversity in the products on offer.

Penfold factory manager Rob Pickering said: ‘We are aiming to bring down delivery times from eight to 12 weeks to a maximum of two weeks. We are simply moving with the times. Automated technology is sweeping across all of industry and the golfing business is no different.

‘We have made significant investments in automated machinery and also had to refine and tailor it to suit our needs, but we are confident our efforts will be repaid and rewarded. ‘The addition of two automated paint machines has seen the quality and consistency of paint and varnish adhesion increase dramatically. We are finally achieving a quality level that I used to dream about.’

Rob adds: ‘We have revolutionized the golf ball printing process and are able to offer unrivalled delivery to all our customers. The speed and efficiency of our seam printing process has improved dramatically which then allows us to improve the same deadlines on our more complex, multi-colour logo printing process.

‘We have identified the need of our customers, be they driving ranges, golf clubs or private companies wanting personalized products, to have their orders delivered as soon as possible while still of the highest quality. The changes we have made in automating our procedures allows to cater for such demands.’  

Sales manager Stuart Hedgecock said: ‘This investment will make my life easier, I can finally deliver to my customers the lead times they want without worrying about production delays in peak season.’
