Scotland Secures Hotels for Ryder Cup Bid

On 31st July Scotland submitted its hotel allocations to the Ryder Cup Committee as part of its bid to host the 2009 Ryder Cup.

Over 6000 rooms have been secured for each of the four potential venues in Scotland (Carnoustie, Gleneagles, Loch Lomond and Turnberry), which is more than a 1000 additional rooms per venue than the minimum required by the Ryder Cup Committee.

This is another significant milestone in Scotland's bid to host the tournament in 2009.
