The German Golf Federation reported a 7% increase in the number of golfers and almost 4% increase in the number of golf courses.

Due to the expanding market, the organisers of the Golf Europe exhibition have decided to move to a larger venue in 2002. This year's event will take place at the usual venue, the MOC in Munich-Freimann, where there is already a waiting list for exhibition space.

The event is supported by The PGA of Europe and includes a stand from the European Golf Industry Association.
