Couples Sticks with Maxfli

Fred Couples has renewed his endorsement deal to use Maxfli Revolution irons and balls as well as the company's headwear and golf bag.

"After testing the new line of Revolution golf balls, I'm excited about the season ahead," said the 1992 Masters champion.

Couples has played a Maxfli ball since 1988 and helped to launch the Maxfli Revolution irons in 1998.

Meanwhile, Maxfli Golf have launched a new ball - the Revolution Solid -
which should be on sale in the UK from late spring. The new ball, which, according to Maxfli, combines the added distance of solid balls with exceptional feel, features a micro-bound layer between its oversized, solid centre and soft, urethane outer cover.

Marketing dirctor Andy Keast said: "Maxfli has always aimed to provide
the better golfer with innovative products to maximise performance, and
the introduction of the Revolution Solid continues this trend. The
original Revolution ball gave players unbeatable distance and feel, but
if a golfer wants more distance with no loss of feel, then he wants the
Revolution Solid."

*Maxfli Golf have amicably ended their endorsement agreement with Jack
Nicklaus after an eight-year association. The move paves the way for the
Golden Bear to move to Nike Golf, with whom he has been discussing a
glove, shoe and ball deal.
