TAIWAN AUTHORITIES JAIL GOLF CLUB COUNTERFEITERS

Callaway Golf Company announced today that the Taiwanese government has handed out jail sentences to two persons found guilty of selling counterfeit Callaway Golf® clubs and components. The defendants, Liao Fa-Ching and Chou Yu-Mei, were convicted of violating two articles of the Republic of China's Trademark Law after government investigators had raided their business, Tung Chi International Co. Ltd., last year and seized counterfeit Callaway Golf products. Liao and Chou were sentenced to two years and one and one-half years in jail, respectively.

"Callaway Golf appreciates the support it has received from the enforcement authorities and the courts in Taiwan," stated Steve McCracken, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Callaway Golf.
