CARâ VEHICLE OFFERS REFRESHMENTS
FOR BRABAZON GOLFERS The
Utility Vehicle Division of Golf Car UK of Abington in Oxfordshire has supplied
a specially liveried 19th hole Refreshment Centre from Club Car for
use on the Brabazon Course at The De Vere Belfry in North Warickshire, England,
part of the De Vere Hotels & Leisure Group. As well as drinks, the 19th Hole
Refreshment Centre is used to bring both hot and cold food to golfers on the course
and is the only vehicle allowed on the recently renovated Brabazon Course, which
will be the venue for the next Ryder Cup between the USA and Europe in 2001. Robert
Maxfeld, Golf and Leisure Manager at the De Vere Belfry, said; “Golf car UK has
consistently supplied golf cars and utility vehicles that offer customised solutions
for our requirements at The De Vere Belfry. The
ability of the unit to provide both hot and cold drinks and food is a key feature
in its favour and has allowed us to offer an enhanced service to our customers.” The
food and drinks carried by the 19th Hole Refreshment Centre can be
ordered before the round begins and are delivered to the 5th Hole on
the Brabazon Course. In addition, the 19th Hole Refreshment Centre can be
visited at the 9th Hole and, later, between the 12th and
13th holes. The
19th Hole Refreshment Centre has a versatile design for providing on-course
refreshments. The many options available
can provide a multitude of revenue-producing ideas for golf course managers. The
19th Hole refreshment Centre has the capacity to carry over 430 cans
of cold drinks, with ice, in four insulated storage compartments.
The ice compartment holds a generous 32 kg of ice but is consumable ice
is not required, the compartment can be used as additional cold storage holding
106 cans. The
separate water drain system for the consumable ice and cold storage compartments
meets FDA guidelines in the USA. As well as additional dry goods storage compartment
holding 1.47 m3 of additional beverages, snacks, etc, there is a wide variety
of optional accessories such as food warmers and beverage dispensers. With
