Sell Banned Driver in US Carbite
Golf have started to sell their G-3 Daiwa driver in the United States even though
the club has been outlawed by the US Golf Association. The
USGA have decided that the 'spring-like effect' in the clubhead exceeds the current
guidelines and it has been placed on the non-conforming list along with Callaway's
ERC driver. Carbite
purchased the rights to market the Japanese company's clubs in the United States
last year and consumers will be able to buy the driver through golf retailers
or though the website, www.carbitegolf.com for $899 (£600). Mike
Spacciapolli, Carbite's vice chairman, said: "Golf is supposed to be fun.
There are a lot of golfers like me who play golf to have fun and would like to
hit the ball farther." |
