GOLF STARS CLOTHING MANUFACTURER
IN RECEIVERSHIP

Bruce Clark (Scotland) Ltd, a leading manufacturer of waterproof golf clothing favoured by top golfers such as Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie and Darren Clarke, and by the national amateur teams of Scotland, Ireland and Wales is in receivership.

Based in Dalgettie Bay, Fife, the company's products, which trades under the Bruce Clark brand name, are sold by golf professional shops throughout the UK and Europe.

The business has a turnover of £1m and employs 18 staff. The receivership was caused by cashflow difficulties.

Receiver Blair Nimmo, Head of KPMG Corporate Recovery in Scotland, is planning to continue trading the business with a view to finding a buyer for it as a going concern:

"The company is a highly regarded manufacturer with a strong, well-known brand and a good distribution network. It has modern production facilities and we are hopeful that there will be a lot of interest in the business."
