American Golf Make It 21

Trent Park, an 18-hole municipal layout near Enfield in north London, is the 21st English golf facility to have been acquired by American Golf (UK).

The club, which dates back to 1974 and features a large clubhouse and retail centre as well as a floodlit driving range and golf learning centre, has entered into a "long-term operating partnership" with American Golf (UK) and will be fitted with a new drainage system over the next 18 months.

Geary Leathers, managing director of American Golf (UK), said: "The long-time loyal golfers and visitors to Trent Park will soon enjoy improved conditions through American Golf's capital expenditure projects.

"We look forward to working with the London Borough of Enfield to increase utilisation of

the course through innovative programmes and services which will include an improved golf

learning centre.

"American Golf has, for over 30 years, been a cornerstone in "community golf" and all of us look forward to working hard on behalf of the local golfers and social visitors to the facility."

Established in 1993, American Golf (UK) is now the largest golf operator in England and plans to double its portfolio over the next two years. Other American Golf (UK) courses near to Trent Park include Mill Green, The Hertfordshire, Weald Park and South Essex.
