Features and Benefits
Super Forgiving: Callaway realized that to make the driver forgiving it had to increase the moment of inertia. To achieve it the weight of the golf head had to be moved low and back. This isn’t easy as most driver clubs have heavy crowns. Callaway’s Fusion Technology makes this tough task possible by using the lighter material to replace the heavier bits in the club head.
Lightweight Crown: The Fusion Technology is in use for more than a decade. Now, Callaway has updated by adding ultralight Triaxial Carbon to the crown and titanium ‘Exo-Cage’ to the body. These additions have made the crown of the driver lighter and the excess weight is moved to other areas. The Triaxial is 15% thinner and 35% lighter than the previously used titanium. The introduction of lightweight materials in the crown reduces its weight by as much as 35grams. This is transferred to the lower and back portions of the driver.
Superior Aerodynamics: To push the extra weight, low and back, Callaway had to change the shape of the club head. The new triangular head is faster through the air. The new innovative design allows easy air flow over the head of the driver. This will, in turn, increase the clubhead speed.
The increased forgiveness that the Callaway Big Bertha Fusion Driver provides makes it the go-to choice for recreational golfers. The cost of the driver is slightly on the higher side, but the power, distance, and accuracy compensate for the higher price tag. On the whole, the Callaway Big Bertha Fusion Driver is a good investment for any golfers wanting a high-performing and high forgiveness driver.
